The rest of the schedule has arrived!
The Morehouse College basketball team and third year head coach Douglas Whittler have finalized the Maroon Tigers’ 10-game 2023-24 non-conference schedule featuring five home games on Arthur J. McAfee Jr. Court in Forbes Arena, three NCAA Division I exhibition games, and more.
The Maroon Tigers officially open up their season with an Oct. 29 away exhibition game against Georgia State University. The very next day, Morehouse will travel to Birmingham, AL. on Oct. 30 to face off against the University of Alabama Birmingham in another away exhibition game.
For the first two regular season games of the 2023-24 season Morehouse will host the first round of the South Regional Challenge against two Sunshine State Conference opponents. The Sailfish of Palm Beach Atlantic University will be first on the clock on Nov. 10 followed by the Eagles of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University on Nov. 11.
The following weekend Morehouse College will be hosting the HBCU All-Stars Challenge for the second year in a row. The Maroon Tigers will face off against CIAA opponents Fayetteville State University on Nov. 17 and Livingstone College on Nov. 18.
The last non-conference game of November will be a short road trip down to Clayton State University the day before Thanksgiving on Nov. 22.
Morehouse will then return back to Forbes Arena to play Talladega College in the McAfee-Brewer Memorial Classic on Dec. 9.
The last NCAA Division I exhibition game of the 2023-24 season for the Maroon Tigers will be held in Washington, D.C. at Howard University on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan. 15) for the second year in a row.
The final non-conference game of the season will be an away and return game to Talladega College on Jan. 25.
